The Common brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula) is a small marsupial cosmopolitan to the areas of Australia covered by forestry. This includes many areas where their range overlaps with humans – meaning where their nocturnal activities may have once gone unnoticed, the introduction of artificial light has rendered that clandestine activity plain for all to see.
