Glow-worm

A fungus gnat larva found in southern Queensland caves and sheltered forest sites, distinct from the Tasmanian glow-worm species. Grows to about 3 cm and glows via a luciferin-luciferase reaction, luring insects into sticky silk snares hung from its nest.
