The southern lights, the aurora australis are the spectacular southern counterpart to the famous aurora borealis visible in the northern hemisphere, and was compelling enough for me to move to lutruwita / Tasmania in hopes of chasing it. I’ve since gone on to chase them all across the island, and even as a tutor flying over the edge of Antarctica with a few of my good mates.
