In addition to being an extensively decorated photographer, I am an experienced tutor and expedition leader. If you want to learn the skills necessary to transform your work from your friends telling you that your work is ‘pretty good’ into something genuinely world-class, or if you just want to brush up on things you’ve already learned, I can teach you.

Biofluorescence exploration
The world around is full of fascinating wonders – sunsets, rainbows, glowing marsupials…? I am one of the few people currently seriously exploring this incredible phenomenon, where everyday animals and plants transform by night into an array of garish and vibrant colours. I have been developing world-first techniques for nearly two decades to capture this experience properly, with the results being seen billions (yes, that’s a b) of times globally.
Experiences are tailored specifically to each guest, and can cover the topic in as much depth (or not!) as desired.
Creative fluorescence
The techniques I’ve developed exploring and codifying the glow of the living world are incredibly useful for producing eye-catching, distinctive, and impactful imagery. Everything from scene and gear selection, in-the-field usage, and processing – this is a crash course that imparts the collective wisdom of the best in the industry in a fun and unique way.

Smartphone Astrophotography
The phone in your pocket (or your hand, statistically) is your gateway to the heavens. I can show you how to use it.
I founded and operate by far the largest community dedicated to Smartphone Astrophotography in existence , showing nearly one hundred thousand members how to do just that.
I’ll teach you the theory of not only how to take incredible photos of the night sky with your phone, but also the anatomy of an award-winning photograph and how you can use that to elevate your images.
Drawing on my years of knowledge specialising in the field, you’ll have the tools to capture images to wow everybody – most importantly yourself.

Advanced Astrophotography
Wanting to capture the best astrophotos possible and build on your existing knowledge? This is for you.
I’ll show you what it takes to be a night photographer competing on the world stage with some of the best – and how you can too. Topics covered run from the foundational preparation for a shoot (forecasting, mapping/charting, location scouting), fieldcraft and technique, and the intricacies of a finished master work.
If you want to be the best, learn from the one of them.
Wildlife photography
One of my favourite subjects to document is wildlife. As you enter their domain, you are called on to form a very special bond that demands respect.
I have spent over a decade tracking and documenting the unique and precious wildlife that calls Australia home, and can take you to where the action is to do the same.
