Japanese macaque

Brownish-grey fur, a pinkish-red face, and a thick winter coat adapted to snowy climates — the world’s northernmost non-human primate, native to Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. Known for culturally transmitted behaviours such as washing food in rivers and bathing together in hot springs.
