Dandelion

A herbaceous perennial with a taproot, toothed basal leaves and hollow stems bearing yellow flower heads that ripen into silver-tufted seed balls. Native to Eurasia but now found worldwide in moist temperate soils, and often dismissed as a weed despite its value to pollinators.
