Eastern quoll (Dasyurus viverrinus, EN)

Eastern quoll

A cat-sized carnivorous marsupial with white-spotted fawn or black fur, now restricted to Tasmania and Bruny Island after disappearing from the Australian mainland by the early 1960s. It has only four toes on each hind foot and, discovered in 2025, fluoresces under ultraviolet light.
